I like things that take time. Maybe that’s why I fell in love with hand poke.
Every dot is placed by hand, and every line is built little by little. It’s a slow, precise, repetitive technique that, to me, feels almost meditative.
And that’s exactly the part I enjoy the most.

Cada punto se coloca a mano y cada línea se va construyendo poco a poco. Es una técnica lenta, precisa y repetitiva que, para mí, se siente casi meditativa.
Y esa es precisamente la parte que más disfruto.

Does it hurt? Of course, it’s still a tattoo. :) Everyone experiences pain differently, but many people I’ve tattooed are surprised by how manageable it feels and describe it as less intense than getting tattooed with a machine.

We’ll talk about the design, size, placement, and any adjustments that can help your idea work well on the skin and with the hand poke technique. Once everything feels right, we’ll secure your appointment with a deposit.

Before we start, we’ll look at the design and placement on your body. We can move it around, look at it in the mirror twenty times, and make whatever adjustments we need. When everything feels right, we start. Dot by dot. No rush.

Building a tattoo by hand allows me to work on every line, texture, and detail with a lot of control. It’s slow, yes. That’s literally the point. :)

Shei was my artist... correction... Shei is my artist from now on! This was my eighth tattoo, but my first with the hand poke technique. It was a very different experience: no pain and much more satisfying. Hard to explain, but I felt a better connection with the art.

Instead of using a tattoo machine, ink is deposited into the skin one dot at a time using a tattoo needle. Yes, I literally make every single dot. There’s a reason I call myself Slow Ink. :)

Every person and every area of the body feels different. Many people I’ve tattooed describe hand poke as more manageable and less intense than they expected. The slower, manual process also creates a very different experience from getting tattooed with a machine.

It depends on the size, detail, placement, and how your skin responds. As a general reference, plan for at least two hours for the process. Some pieces take longer, and once I see your idea, I can give you a better idea of what to expect.

Pricing depends on the design, size, detail, and placement. My tattoo minimum is $100. Once you send me your idea and the basic details, I can give you an estimate before we book your appointment.

Send me your idea, any references you have, the approximate size, and where you’d like the tattoo. Once we’ve worked out the details and confirmed availability, your appointment is secured with a $50 deposit, which goes toward the final price of your tattoo.
